Filipino-Japanese fine artist in France.

Ojousama is a Filipino-Japanese fine artist currently based in France. She was born and raised in the Philippines surrounded by the art works of her mother. Ojousama began her practice of the arts at a young age and recently chose painting as her main field of activity.
With her recent works, she aims to question modern social phenomena through portrait painting.
She studied fine and contemporary arts at École des arts de la Sorbonne (Panthéon-Sorbonne Paris 1) while undergoing teacher-training at l'Institut National du Professorat et de l'Éducation (INSPE Paris). She currently teaches plastic arts in middle school in France while pursuing a career as a professional artist.
The artist name "Ojousama" comes from the formal Japanese term used to refer to young upper-class women. The choice of this pseudonym stems from her fascination of old Japanese tales in which the word is often used.
